Joan Skalbeck views life differently than most. Her world is defined by color. Joan is the founder and artistic force behind Primrose Gradations, a fabric company that produces hand dyed fabrics for the quilting and craft markets. Primrose Gradations has a worldwide customer base and its fabric is incorporated in many award winning quilts and art projects. Currently on sabbatical from her fabric dyeing company, Joan's latest project is Primrose on Superior, an art retreat center located along the north shore of Lake Superior. Joan continues to explore her art in various surface design projects. She is also teaching in Minnesota sharing her passion for color and surface design. Joan lives in the Twin Cities of St. Paul/Minneapolis, Minnesota. |
