Primrose on Superior

primroseonsuperior.com - Instructor Biography

"I come to the quilt world from a sewing and theater background. For 26 years, I was a costume designer for the Baltimore Opera Company, the Minnesota Ballet, A.T. Jones Costumers in Baltimore and Malabar Costume House in Toronto. For five years, I was an instructor in the theater department at the College of St. Scholastica, teaching costume design and construction. For the past fifteen years, quilting has been my passion
I have had numerous quilts juried into national shows, winning awards at many of them. I am co-owner of a company called "2 Much Fun!", producing paper foundation patterns for the innovative quilter and am currently working on a book of non-traditional quilts from traditional beginnings.
I feel that quilting offers validation for my creative efforts and gives me a chance to continue to see my designs come to life. I think as quilters, the special bonus that we get, is the encouragement and friendship of those in our quilting community. Plus, we are able to provide our families and friends with quilted tokens of our affection."
